To help Longshot Limited turn Cherkley Court Estate into a world-class hotel, health club & spa, cookery school and golf course. The house is Grade II Listed and the grounds stretch to 380 acres. This greenbelt site partly falls within the Surrey Hills AONB and the whole site is designated as an Area of Great Landscape Value. The planning process could only be complex and protracted.

Our proposals for an enhanced landscape addressed all policy requirements and proved central to the Court of Appeal’s favourable decision. The Golf Course is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016 and the hotel the following summer. We are confident that Cherkley has an exciting future that will honour the building’s history, as well as protect the precious woodland and chalk grassland landscape. This is a unique location that will now be enjoyed by many people for generations to come.
