The gardens dating from 1600 were left to decay for half a century before the Aberglasney Restoration Trust stepped in to reverse the decline. Colvin and Moggridge were instrumental in establishing a strategy for reclaiming the gardens from nature, and produced a masterplan to guide restoration and development.
Aberglasney opened to visitors in the summer of 1999 and works continue at a pace with further phases of restoration funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, other public bodies and private donors.
